bring together all those British and Irish quality
local foods producers that are dedicated to the production
of fine foods with all of the characteristics which
make their product special. It is hoped that consumers
and producers alike will come to view this site as
the home of British locally sourced food.
It
is intended that the site will offer a database of
food producers and also the places where consumers
can purchase, taste and enjoy a truly perfect product,
reflecting the local characteristics which come from
climate, soil, geography, and tradition in recipe
and production process. We
are interested in a sustainable local economy for
farms and businesses, but concentrating on quality
food production. Consumers can help to support and
sustain our countryside by ensuring that they buy
as much as they can locally, whether it be from a
farm shop, farmers market, quality foodstore, supermarket
or right here, through this website. |

Membership |
Craftfoods
offers different levels of supplier membership,
each one designated by a Star rating.
1 Star supplier members have a simple
listing and short statement about their
business. 2 Star supplier members can
display their own business logo and 1
picture of their business or product.
Customers will be able to access a 2 Star
member's website, make direct email contact
with the supplier to request a product
price list and view Supplier Outlets -
places where the products can be tasted
or purchased. 3 Star Membship is a half-way-house
between 2 and 4 Star. Some of the features
of 4 Star are present, including a searchable
product databaseand product ordering.
4 Star supplier members can have up-to
6 custom web pages of their own, unlimited
product information and product ordering. |

These will not necessarily be from the
same supplier. You will be given a great
deal of information about the history
of the product, production process, where
you can taste the product and, of course,
how you can buy it. |
