The Auld family who own the site has been resident in Cumbria for over thirty years. This family is uniqely qualified to run a website dedicated to fine foods.

As well as farming for many years the family ran an associated quality butcher and pie making business, which had retail outlets in Carlisle and Dalston, Cumbria. High quality beef and lamb was sourced locally with nearly all the pig meat produced on the family farm. The family was also a partner in a local meat-marketing co-operative called Cumbria Quality Meat.

In more recent years the family has become involved in the IT industry and marketing, but retained its links with the agricultural and producer community.
